What's a blog?
(n.) Short for Web log, a blog is a Web page that serves as a publicly accessible personal journal for an individual. Typically updated daily, blogs often reflect the personality of the author.
A blog is a personal diary. A daily pulpit. A collaborative space. A political soapbox. A breaking-news outlet. A collection of links. Memos to the world. In simple terms, a blog is a web site, where people write stuff on an ongoing basis. New stuff shows up at the top, so that you can read what's new. Then you can comment on it or link to it or email you.
What's in the Our Appraisal blogs?
 Appraisal Scoop, and it's sister-site We Value Bloomington - Normal, are blog platforms where I post a wide variety of news stories and articles of interest to appraisers, lenders, real estate sales agents, loan processors, title companies and even consumers. Basically anyone with an interest in real estate.
I'll try to post all of the local real estate related stories of interest that have been published in The Pantagraph. Eventually (this platform is in development) these stories will be archived daily and can be searched using the search tools on the blog page .
In addition to local news, the Appraisal Scoop blog includes original content, real estate news from a wide variety of other Internet sources, news sites, newsletters, and forums.
Obviously my main perspective comes from being a real estate appraiser. So, many of my articles and thoughts will be about real estate appraising, the real estate appraisal profession, and how appraisers and the industry relates to other mortgage professionals and consumers.
One of the FUN things about blogging is that YOU get to participate too. My blogs allow you to make your own comments and even ask questions.
