You've probably been hearing a lot about how electronic commerce has been made possible through EDI (electronic data interchange). Today, EDI offers appraisers and their clients significant opportunities for enhanced customer service. I hope this page and the links below will help you understand some of the EDI options that are available today.
Our mission is to turn EDI between the appraiser and our clients into a simple, efficient and cost-effective means of delivering appraisals to your desktop. Our Internet-based systems are already in place. We can deliver complete reports, with maps, photos, sketches, signatures, and addenda in native software formats or Adobe Acrobat pdf in less than three minutes to any standard Internet account. EDI has enabled us to deliver your complete digital appraisal report right to your desktop, using your existing email account or our XSite Servers. Overnight courier fees are eliminated! Adobe Acrobat's PDF file format has emerged as the dominant medium for delivering on-line appraisal reports. Why?...because it doesn't require you to have anything but Adobe's freeware Acrobat reader to view and print the entire appraisal file. The free Adobe Acrobat Reader allows you to view, navigate, and print PDF files across all major computing platforms. If you don't already have Acrobat Reader we've provided a convenient link to their site on the left side of this page.
Brian J. Davis & Associates was the first firm in central Illinois to employ in-home electronic data collection using Pocket TOTAL and HPC / Pocket PC technology. After returning to the office, we simply plug the handheld device into a cradle, connecting it to the desktop PC. Our software automatically detects the connection, and the field data is placed into the corresponding desktop report. Pocket TOTAL on a hand held PC saves data entry time, increases our accuracy, and reduces report turnaround time.
"On-line Appraisal Ordering" from Brian J. Davis & Associates is available now. Just click on either the Online Appraisal Request or Fee Quote/Information buttons. We will notify you with a confirmation of your order or respond to your question the same day!
